Role-Play / Conversation Scenario A dialogue between two brothers, Ali and Omar, sitting in their living room. Read aloud to practice your Saudi accent.
Ali: يا عمر، قفل الباب لو سمحت (Ya Omar, gaffil al-bab law samaht – Omar, close the door please) Omar: الباب مقفل أصلاً. (Al-bab mugaffal aslan. Bas ash-shubbak maftooh – The door is already closed. But the window is open) Ali: طيب. (Tayyib. Al-qahwa harra? – Okay. Is the coffee hot?) (La, al-qahwa barida. Tabi asawwi lak shay? – No, the coffee is cold. Do you want me to make you tea?) As-sukkar illi feeh hilu marra. – Yes, tea is better. The sugar in it is very sweet) Omar: دقايق بس… (Dagayig bas… Al-kursi hadha maksoor? – Just a few minutes… Is this chair broken?) – Yes it’s broken, sit on the new chair, it is clean and good) https://youtube.com/shorts/k_3IFZnYL1s
